A recent edition to my ever expanding gear. A beautiful vintage Minolta 28-85mm Lens from around 1985. As with all Minolta AF lens’s from the time, they are fully compatible with my Sony DSLR Bodies, both my a350 and a65 SLT.
I love the colour rendition of old minolta lenses from these, and they are incredibly sharp even on modern cameras, often much better than the more recent Sony lens’s.
Known as the Beercan range, these lenses are quite heavy with a solid metal body and metal mount. A popular 55mm filter thread is used which is a bonus as most of my existing filters and hoods are this size.
